How to use it

1. Photograph the front and back (for a passport the data page is enough).
2. Check the corners and the filter.
3. Choose the size, protective watermark and format (PDF or JPG).

When it helps

• Hand an ID copy to a bank, an employer or a landlord.
• Attach the passport to a visa application.

Limitations

• The copy doesn't replace a certified copy when one is required.

Frequently asked questions

Why use the protective watermark?

If the copy ends up in the wrong hands, the overlaid text (who it's for and why) makes it useless for fraud and identifies its origin.
